Part 2: Flight Operations. Part 2 takes up where Part 1 left off with takeoff, flight characteristics and landing. An entertaining animation shows the importance of proper attitude in the B-17 bomber during takeoff, and once again, you'll see a hands-on demonstration of the proper use of all instruments and control systems during the flight.

Chronicles one of the early (autumn 1942) bombing runs of B-17s over Europe. An excellent overview of a mission carried out by a troop of Fortress flyers. Tells that this was the first use of the B-17 warplane and boasts about it's effectiveness in the war. Actual footage of bombs being dropped over Europe and preparing the B-17 for action.
